Side fringes for autumn = a big YES 🍂✂️

I don’t know about you but I’m so here for the revival of Y2K beauty trends. For me, seeing deep side-partings (or zig-zig partings, if you’re feeling daring), baby blue eyeshadow and side fringes making a return is giving me all the nostalgia. Especially the last one. Because let’s face it, were you really a teenager in the 00s if you didn’t have a big, sweeping side fringe that covered up one of your eyes? Hazardous? Yes. A serve? Absolutely.

Kylie Jenner is one of the latest celebs to be seen sporting a side fringe and I’ve gotta say, when I saw it, I got flashbacks. Except, Kylie’s has a bit more of a modern update. Instead of large, long and swooping (like big sis Kim's side fringe), the beauty founder has a shorter, choppier fringe that skims her eyebrow.

The reality star debuted her new look at a Kylie Cosmetics event and her tan artist Isabel Alysa shared videos straight from the red pink carpet on Instagram Stories. In the video, Kylie can be seen posing before breaking out into laughter.

As she walks towards the camera, we get a closer look at the fringe, which I’d actually call more of a ‘micro side fringe’ due to its shorter length and wispy finish.

Now, we’re not entirely sure if Kylie actually committed to chopping a new fringe in, or whether this hairdo is aided by a fringe clip-in. Either way, it’s making me remember how side fringes for autumn are a big, big yes. BRB, off to grab a pair of scissors…
