It seems like beauty mogul Rihanna will have women everywhere questioning if her latest Fenty Beauty launch is makeup or ketchup.
According to Page Six Style, the 34-year-old global mega star is rolling out the red carpet and has teamed up with art collective MSCHF on a limited edition palette filled with “six packets that each contain either ketchup or lip gloss.”
And you can play the guessing game for just $25.
But what may aesthetically pleasing to some, may not be just that to others.
Giving their take on the new launch, fans were divided over the new drop and took to the comments section of Fenty Beauty’s announcement post on Instagram.
And it’s clear that some fans seemingly aren’t into the idea of guessing if the new launch is a cosmetic or a condiment.
“I’m sorry but who wants to spend $25 to end up getting ketchup packets,” an Instagram user wrote, while another added, “Is Rihanna still on maternity leave….who signed off?”
Another user questioned, “Are the packets resealable if it is gloss? I have so many questions.”
While there are no doubt mixed signals about the new drop, some fans love how innovative and creative the product seems to be, where the collab has been called “so cool,” “low key fire,” and “cute.”
This isn’t the only outlandish product to come out of the wheelhouse of MSCHF.
If you can recall, MSCHF has previously worked with Lil Nas X and produced the controversial “Satan Shoes” that were famously made with “one drop of human blood.” The pair of shoes led to a Nike lawsuit in 2021.
