Makeovers are hard to manage in the rainy season. If the makeup is heavy like the bridal makeup, it is even more challenging to protect from melting. 

Bridal beauty professionals often find the need to renovate their makeup products for this season. Heat, humidity, and rain are the enemy of a good makeover. Here are some tips to ensure this season doesn't ruin your makeover.

Preparing your skin for beautiful makeup is a must. You need to take care of your skin regularly. If you are a bride, it's a must to do regular skincare before the big day. 

When you are about to sit for the makeup, clean your face with a gentle cleanser suitable for your skin type. Then use a mild exfoliator to remove the dead cells. Rub ice cubes placing them inside a soft towel for 5 minutes. This step will prime your skin for the proper setting of your makeup. It is a hack to last makeup a longer time. 

Choose the right skincare products

Once your skin is cleaned, use a hydrating toner and apply a light moisturiser according to your skin type. A moisturiser that includes hyaluronic acid, vitamin E, and antioxidants is a good option. 

Use sunscreen to protect your skin from the heavy flashlights of the camera. Also, if the program is outdoor, sunscreen is a must for the daytime. 

Prioritise your base makeup 

If your makeup base is not supporting you, say goodbye to a beautiful bridal look. Choose a lightweight primer for blurring your pores and an oil-controlled foundation for oily skin. Y

ou can replace your liquid foundation with a powder-based one. Don't forget to use a translucent powder if you are applying a liquid foundation. Try to use M.A.C Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation and Cover FX Women’s Foundation, as they offer buildable coverage with a matte finish. 

Use a good setting powder and build the coverage with your foundation gradually to avoid a cakey base. You can use a cheek tint instead of blush as they work well to last in this season. 

It is better to go for a comparatively minimal or neutral approach with your eye makeup. Get soft bronze and rose-hued eyeshadows, waterproof liners, and lightweight mascara. 

If you are using a kajal, look for a waterproof kajal. After applying kajal, use black eyeshadow over the kajal to set it properly. Coat your lashes with a volumising mascara and top it off with a waterproof one. 

Replace lip gloss with some matte bold-coloured lipsticks or lip tints. Matte lipsticks will last longer and are waterproof. Soft matte lipsticks will add beauty to your pout pictures. Lip tints are also a good option as they can last long. You can apply any coloured lip balm, and after 15 minutes, apply the lip tint for the best result. 

Lock your beauty for the big day

After finishing the makeup, lock it using a good makeup setting spray. It will be your best friend for the whole day in this rainy season. Make sure your makeup is well blended. Invest in a good setting spray to avoid fading.
